Hello there, 

We sense the Holy Spirit stirring a fresh work through Calvary Chapel in Fort Walton Beach (http://calvarychapelfwb.org). 

In the middle of 2022, the elders of the Anchor Church reached out to Pastor John Spencer of Coastline Calvary Chapel Gulf Breeze (https://www.coastlinegulfbreeze.com/). They wanted to know if Calvary Chapel (https://calvarycca.org/) would be interested in assuming leadership of their church with the intention of transforming it into a Calvary Chapel. 

In the meantime, I was praying and searching for “what’s next.” My family and I had a charmed experience planting and pastoring Calvary Fellowship of Ottawa (https://calvaryottawa.ca) in Canada. We had returned to Florida during the pandemic. 

Through a fortuitous conversation in February of 2022 at a pastors conference, introductions were made and in June 2023, we moved to Cinco Bayou with the vision of relaunching the Anchor Church as Calvary Chapel Fort Walton Beach. 

On July 2nd, we celebrated all that God has done through Pastor Jim Krug, his wife Effie and the Anchor Church. We’ve updated the necessary paperwork, added Pastor John Spencer and Pastor Trip Kimball of Poimen Ministries (https://www.poimenministries.com/) to the Board of Trustees, and begun meeting on Sundays at 9:30am in the Anchor facility as a core group to incubate a new church. 

The Lord has confirmed these moves by drawing new people to join us. We see the witness of His Spirit in our meetings bringing hope, conviction, change, new behaviours and most importantly, love. He’s brought renewal to several hearts.
