WELCOME TO CAPTAIN'S KIDZ!
In our Captain’s Kidz Children’s Ministry, we have the privilege of ministering to children Newborn through 5th grade. Our hope is that each child who walks through our doors will experience the love of Christ while in our care! We desire that all will not only believe that God’s Word is true, but also comprehend the great love He has for them. We pray that they will each develop their very own loving relationship with God, gain the ability to trust Him in every part of their lives, and will rise up and become a part of a generation of believers who stand firmly on God’s Truth and live their lives in a way that pleases Him. He made each of us to become one of The Captain’s Kidz!

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
It is best to arrive 5-10 minutes before class time to enable your child to be checked in, and allow yourself time to join the Sunday service. Always remember to notify the teacher of any special needs or concerns that you or your child may have.
Your child will experience both a large group time of praise and worship and teaching with our Superbook curriculum, and a small group time with games, crafts and more discussion about the Truth from the Word of God. This curriculum is rich in the Truth of God’s Word using vivid web-based video that brings each Bible lesson to life! Utilizing Bible stories from both the Old and New Testament, Kidz are taken into the Bible with Gizmo and his friends while they learn how to apply the Truth to their daily lives. Scripture memory is encouraged each week. Every Sunday, your child will bring home a new Gizmonote that will enable you to engage with your child, and discuss the day’s lesson. You can also take a trip online with your child and check out the Superbook app. There you can dig deeper into the lesson with the Bible, games, and much more!

Kidz have the opportunity to earn coins through positive behavior, memorizing scripture, attendance and just being a joyful member of the classroom! These coins can be used in our Treasure Chest to trade for small toys, books, etc. on scheduled Treasure Chest Sundays.
We hope that your child will want to come back to church and learn more about our Great God again and again!
VOLUNTEERS
DECKHANDS
Our volunteers – Deckhands - will lovingly care for your little ones in a safe, kid-friendly, Christ centered environment. Each of our adult teachers and assistants have completed and passed a background check before joining our crew.
Several of our 6th grade – 12th grade young people lend a helping hand with our adults in the Captain’s Kidz ministry. These fine ladies and gentlemen are valuable assets to our children’s ministry!
CRAFTERS
If you would rather help behind the scenes, we have a perfect job for you: Captain’s Kidz Crafter! A Captain’s Kidz Crafter preps the lesson materials for the teachers prior to Sunday morning. Utilizing the church facilities and resources, volunteers make photocopies of worksheets, prepare craft materials and prepare any needed items for the teachers.
